BELVEDERE PAVILION, CAFE, BLED; The Belvedere Pavilion reigns supreme on thirty-metre pillars above Lake Bled in the safe shelter of the Vila Bled's park. In warmer months, it throws open its doors as a café and patisserie with the most wonderful views across to Bled island. It is an extremely popular venue for receptions and wedding celebrations due to its idyllic setting, unique architectural design and rich history.
Design was delegated to top Slovene architect Jože Plečnik and the grand structure, on thirty metre pillars, was eventually completed (by then Yugoslav President Tito was in power and he went on to entertain many elite international guests here). Courtesy of its rich history and architectural heritage, Belvedere is very popular for wedding receptions and celebrations.
