Tickets for Slovenia's Matches at EuroBasket Sold Out

The tickets for Slovenia's first round matches at the EuroBasket in Celje, which went on sale on Monday, are virtually sold out, as only a few tickets for the Slovenia-Georgia game are still available, the organisers said.

According to Tuesday's press release from the Slovenian Basketball Association (KZS), almost all tickets for Slovenia's five matches at the September tournament were sold in just two hours.

Apart from Grup C matches in Celje, fans expressed the biggest interest in Group B matches in Jesenice, which feature Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

A large number of tickets was also purchased by Finnish basketball fans, who made good on the announcement that more than 1,000 Finns will show up for the EuroBasket.

Around 3,000 tickets per game were on sale on Monday, with Slovenia's matches with the reigning European champions Spain and the neighbours Croatia being sold out in only 20 minutes.

The KZS is advising the fans who were left without a ticket to buy tickets for the second round, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the third-place match. Tickets for the final are sold out as well.
