Despite playing in front of a record-low crowd of 5,000 in Ljubljana, Olimpija managed their best game so far in the Euroleague to keep hopes of making it to the top 16 alive.
Newcomer Danny Green led the scorers of the Slovenian club with 23 points, while no other Olimpija player managed to crack double figures in scoring.
Union Olimpija will play their fourth match in Europe's strongest basketball club competition against Galatasaray at home on 9 November.
