Telekom Slovenije Monopoly Case Back at First Instance


The Ljubljana Higher Court has sent back to the first instance Administrative Court a monopoly case involving the Competition Protection Agency (AVK) and telco Telekom Slovenije, the telecommunications company said in a press release posted on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange web page on Wednesday.

The ruling was handed down in July after the Administrative Court rejected in December Telekom's appeal against the the AVK's 2013 decision that Telekom abused his position as the monopoly broadband internet provider.

 

Between 2002 and 2005, Telekom had been making ADSL connections conditional on ISDN technology for users who signed up for broadband with providers that used Telekom's copper network.
