Slovenian, Kosovo President Want Better Economic Cooperation

President Borut Pahor and his Kosovo counterpart Atifete Jahjaga shared the view on Tuesday that cooperation between the two countries was very good, however there was still much room for improvement, especially in trade. Pahor also praised the negotiation efforts of Kosovo and Serbia.

A member of the delegation accompanying Pahor on his two-day visit to Prishtina told the STA that Slovenian president expressed hope that the next time Jahjaga came to Slovenia she would bring with her a business delegation.

He pointed out that Slovenia was the second biggest investor in Kosovo. "We would like to increase the trade in goods and services," he told the press in Prishtina.

Touching on the ongoing talks between Kosovo and Serbia, Pahor labelled the negotiations the biggest achievement of wisdom, courage and political will in the Western Balkans.

Pahor also met today parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Hasim Thaci tomorrow. He will also meet Samuel Žbogar, the international community's high representative in Kosovo.

Pahor already visited the headquarters of the KFOR mission in Prishtina and met Commander Salvatore Farina. Tomorrow he is scheduled to visit the Slovenian troops stationed in Kosovo.
