Slovenia Raises Three-Times Planned Amount with T-Bill Issue

Slovenia raised just over EUR 100m with the issue of 6-month and 12-month treasury bills Tuesday, said the Finance Ministry, which had planned to raise EUR 30m.

The interest rates were slightly below that of the previous issue in September, an an annualised 1.42% for the six-month paper and at 2.9% for the 12-month issue.

The T-bills sale came just days after Fitch Ratings affirmed its BBB+ credit rating for Slovenia, and on the eve of an eagerly awaited European Commission assessment of Slovenia's economy.
