Scores die in Homs including journalists

More than 80 people were killed on Wednesday and activists claim the regime is going all out to crush the revolt.

The intensification of the offensive by President Bashar al-Assad's regime has prompted further international condemnation. French President Nicolas Sarkozy said, "enough is enough, it's time for the regime to go."

Among the dead in Homs were two foreign journalists. Marie Colvin was in the city working for the British Sunday Times when the house in which she and a colleague were staying was hit by rockets. French photographer Remi Ochlik was killed alongside her. Syrian reporters have suffered their own casualties - Rami Al-Sayed was killed in shelling on Tuesday.
