The positive trend on the labour market continued last month, as a total of 122,552 people were registered as unemployed in February, 1.4% fewer than the month before, the Employment Service reported on Thursday.
Year-on-year, the number of the registered unemployed was down by 5.6% in February.
A total of 6,952 were registered anew at the Employment Service in February, down 49.8% from January and down 12.8% year-on-year.
Among the newly registered, 1,056 were first job seekers, 1,242 were redundant workers, while 3,616 people saw their fixed-term contracts expire.
On the other hand, a total of 6,523 people found a job last month, which is 4.5% more than in January.
Out of the 8,679 unemployed persons who were deleted from the Employment Service's register in February, 6,523 got employed or self-employed, which is 4.5% more than in January and 9.1% more year-on-year.
