A Los Angeles court has found Dr Conrad Murray guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. The defendant showed no emotion as the verdict was read.
During the case, prosecutors claimed the doctor had been negligent by using the surgical anaesthetic propofol to treat Jackson's insomnia.
The defnce team claimed Jackson had taken the fatal dose on his own, resulting in the singer's death in June 2009.
Murray's trial started at the end of September. He never took the stand in his own defence.
The jury deliberated for nine hours before announcing they had reached a verdict on Monday - the second day after retiring. It was a unanimous decision.
Murray now faces up to four years in prison. However, he could serve no jail time if he is given probation. He will be sentenced on November 29.
