Everyone knows her, courageous Scheherezade, bravely fighting for her life during 1001 nights. Her adventurous and fairy-tale like stories attract the king's curiosity night after night, and her inexhaustible fantasy eventually saves her life.
Opulently designed, guests of Life Ball 2013 will be immersed into a fascinating world of poetry and fairy tales, mythical creatures and djinns, desirous poems and wise allegories - using fantasy to help people infected with HIV or suffering from AIDS.
The opening fashion show will be run by the popular italian designer Roberto Cavalli.
Many movie stars and politicians will be attending the opening gala concert on the night before in the Burgtheatre. In previous years many celebrities supported the event, amongst them Bill Clinton, Sharon Stone, Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Eva Longoria, Antonio Banderas, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Liza Minnelli, Sir Elton John, Naomi Campbell, Milla Jovovich and Brooke Shields.
