Libyan rebels to enter pro-Gaddafi town of Bani Walid

Libyan rebels have reportedly agreed a deal to enter the pro-Gaddafi town of Bani Walid without fighting, according to an Arabic television station.

Bani Walid is one of three main cities not under control of the National Transistional Council.

There has been speculation from NTC officials that members of the Gaddafi family, even the former Libyan leader himself, may be hiding in the town.

As well as being a Gaddafi stronghold, Bani Walid is also the home of the biggest and most powerful Libyan tribe, the Warfalla.
