Janša: Change in Mindset Biggest Success in 100 Days of Govt

The cabinet successfully negotiated the supplementary budget for 2012, a feat that enables Slovenia to function normally this year, as his cabinet inherited a budget with a 20% gap between the expected revenue and expenses, Janša stressed.

According to him, the change in the mindset resulted in greater flexibility of all social partners, which enables the government to continue negotiations on a new social agreement, which will allow Slovenia to exit the crisis. "What was done in parliament last week is only the first step and is not an extraordinary success in itself, unless of course the change in the mindset allows us to take further steps," Janša added in reference to the passing of the supplementary budget in parliament. Janša moreover said on the sidelines of a meeting with his Croatian counterpart Zoran Milanović that he did not think much about the 100 days milestone, as it did not mean anything in reality. The first 100 days of Janša's cabinet will pass on Sunday.
