Industrial output continues to grow in Slovenia, the data presented by the Statistics Office on Wednesday shows. It grew by 2.3% in July over June, after a 2.7% increase was recorded in the first half of the year.
The increase was highest in electricity, gas and steam supply (6.7%). Output in this sector increased by 43% compared to the benchmark year 2010.
A steep fall was however recorded in mining and quarrying, where industrial output fell by 11.6%.
Sales revenue increased in July by 1.8% on the monthly level. The highest increase was seen in manufacturing (+2.8%), while the biggest drop was recorded in mining and quarrying (-2.2%).
