Fresh Gorenje Shares Listed in Ljubljana and Warsaw

The shares of household appliance maker Gorenje that were issued as part of a recent EUR 17m capital increase including investors in Slovenia and Poland will be listed on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the Warsaw Stock Exchange on Monday.

Gorenje managed to collect EUR 6.17m in Slovenia and EUR 10.55m in Poland between 20 November and 17 December as part of a second phase of recapitalisation.

Around EUR 5.5m of this sum came from the existing shareholders.

In the first phase, Japanese corporation Panasonic contributed EUR 9.68m, which makes for EUR 26.7m in freshly raised capital that Gorenje plans to use for development and investment as well as for deleveraging.

With the dual listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Gorenje will have access to investors on one of the biggest stock markets in Central Europe and expects to be promoted internationally.

The Velenje-based Gorenje will join the Slovenian pharma company Krka on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Bank NKBM was also listed there until the recent erasure of existing share capital at the state-owned bank.
