Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec will meet his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle in Berlin on Wednesday to discuss bilateral cooperation and topical European and international issues.
Germany is Slovenia's key political and trade partner, accounting for about a fifth of Slovenia's foreign trade. The countries adopted a joint declaration to enhance cooperation in August last year. PM Janez Janša visited Berlin in May in what was his first official bilateral visit since he assumed office. His meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in infrastructure, and topical issues of the EU and the eurozone.
