Over a thousand Norwegians have taken part in a torch parade near Utoeya island, the scene of the country's worst peace time massacre.
Oslo police have begun releasing the names of the 76 people who died in the shootings on the island and of those who were killed in the bomb blast in the capital last Friday. The youngest was 14, many were teenagers or in their early 20s.
Army priest Roald Linaker's son Gunnar was among those who were killed on Utoeya having just spoken to his father about the shooting on the phone - he died in hospital aged 23.
"I don't think, he ever regained consciousness," said Roald Linaker. "They kept him alive until we arrived. We said our goodbyes to Gunnar whilst he was still breathing. He was in deep sleep at that time. We feel a deep gratitude for that."
In Oslo, in a united show of revulsion over the killings, people have continued to pay their respects, creating an ever growing carpet of flowers and candles before the capital's cathedral.
