FDI Summit on the Regional Potential


The second international conference FDI Summit, focusing on foreign investments and development strategies in Slovenia, will kick off in Ljubljana. The main topic of the two day conference will be using the potential of Slovenia as a regional centre or starting point for business in Southeastern or Central Europe


Best practices of foreign investors in Slovenia will be presented at the conference featuring 7 panels with over 20 Slovenian and foreign managers and economists.

 

 

The conference, gathering business executives and political leaders as well as existing and potential foreign investors, is organised by the English-language monthly newspaper The Slovenia Times in cooperation with the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (JAPTI) and the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics.

 

The FDI Summit 2011 will take place under the auspices of President Danilo Tuerk, who will address the opening, while the conference will conclude with a panel debate of economic policy makers and representatives of the main political parties in Slovenia on their plans and ideas for the necessary changes in economic policy in Slovenia.

 

Under the auspices of Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic and in cooperation with the Ljubljana Forum conference, the best foreign investors for the past year will be conferred awards this evening for the sixth year.
