Post operator Pošta Slovenije will mark the European Basketball Championship 2013, which will be hosted by Slovenia in September, by launching a special stamp. The stamp, which was presented at a press conference on Wednesday, will be available as of Friday.
According to Slovenian basketball legend and EuroBasket ambassador Ivo Daneu, this continues the tradition of basketball stamps.
Pošta Slovenije director general Boris Novak said at today's presentation they were happy to contribute to the promotion of Slovenia around the world as part of EuroBasket 2013.
The stamp, designed by Ariana Noršić, is in line with the championship's visual identity and will have the nominal value of EUR 1.33.
According to Slovenian basketball legend and EuroBasket ambassador Ivo Daneu, this continues the tradition of basketball stamps, as the first one was dedicated to the 1934 worlds in the Philippines, while the 1970 world championship in Ljubljana was also marked with a special stamp.
