The Malaysia Airlines crash has triggered a huge change in the EU's attitude towards Moscow and the crisis in Ukraine. That's what Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told euronews in an exclusive interview after discussions at the Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting.
"Now the political atmosphere has changed, perceptions have changed. The Rubicon has been crossed. Now the EU speaks with one voice, in one language. The EU is talking about coherent political pressure, about sanctions," he said.
Racking up the pressure on the so-called Donetsk People's Republic is also on the minister's agenda.
He is calling for the EU to outlaw it and the Luhansk People's Republic. They both should be recognised as terrorist organisations he says.
"And what is happening now, what was done, it was definitely classed as terrorist acts, as actions that lie outside not only politics but outside morality."
The focus returned to arms sales to Moscow on Wednesday. British MPs in Westminster have called for urgent clarification on the UK government's position.
