The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is interested in cooperation with the Maribor municipality and is ready to support investment projects in Slovenia's second largest city, Jolanta Gabriel, the head of the EBRD office in Slovenia, said after Friday's visit to Maribor.
The EBRD will analyse and present at the beginning of September possible ways of cooperation with the Maribor municipality, supporting projects that comply with the bank's development strategy and mission, according to her.
Gabriel was received by Mayor Andrej Fištravec, who wants to facilitate cooperation between public and private companies in Maribor.
Private companies in need of start-up capital will also have the opportunity to present their development projects to the EBRD, Fištravec stressed after the meeting.
