CSKA Moscow entertain competition heavyweights Bayern Munich on matchday two of the Champions League group stage on Tuesday.
The Russians will do so without any home support inside the Arena Khimki due to sanctions imposed for crowd misbehavior last season.
It further complicates matters for the team and coach Leonid Slutsky, who will be without Alan Dzagoev and Pontus Wernblooom through suspension.
Slutsky said: "Our main goal is that team should believe in themselves and hold this game at the maximum level of their ability. And whether it will be enough for victory, a draw or just for a worthy game isn't known. But this is my objective".
After a last gasp victory against Manchester City two weeks ago Bayern Munich will look to take firm control of Group E with a victory in the Russian capital.
As well as Bayern fans (the match will take place without an fans home or visiting) Pep Guardiola will be without the services of Franck Ribery, Javier Martinez, Holger Badstuber, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thiago Alcantara through injury.
In the other Group E match man City host Roma with the English side looking to pick up their first points of this campaign.
Barcelona will hope to continue their perfect start in Group F when they travel to the french capital to face a stuttering PSG while the Cypriots of APOEL Nicosia entertain Ajax.
English Premier League leaders Chelsea visit Portuguese side Sporting in Group G as Schalke host Slovenian champions Maribor.
And finally completing Tuesday night's fixtures - Group H leaders Porto travel to Shakhtar Donetsk as bottom club BATE Borisov welcome Athletic Bilbao to the brand new Borisov Arena.
