Hoards of masked locals shouting, drinking and dressed in traditional garb.
On paper it might sound an intimidating prospect, but this is all to chase away winter rather than visitors.
For six days every year the town of Mohács in Hungary, sees people out in force to celebrate a tradition dating back to the 18th Century.
Locals don sheepskin cloaks and horned masks, depicting monsters known as busó‘s. They aim to make as much noise as possible in a bid to ward off winter.
Amidst song, dance, drink and food, the festival finally comes to a close, when a coffin symbolising winter is burned on a bonfire.
