Lithuania losing its litas to adopt the euro currency

On January 1, 2015 Lithuania will be the last Baltic nation to join the growing number of EU states to have adopted the euro. Like Estonia and Latvia, Lithuania is hoping for more investment and lower borrowing.

Mixed Economic Prospects for 2015

After an uneven recovery in 2014, the mixed economic trends in the world are expected to continue in 2015, according to Slovenian economist Mojmir Mrak. The eurozone remains an enigma, Mrak has told the STA, adding that he expects the European Central Bank (ECB) to launch quantitative easing measures early in the year.
US economy growing at faster pace

Fuel Prices to Drop Significantly on Tuesday

The prices of fuel in Slovenia will drop on Tuesday by between six and seven euro cents a litre despite the government raising excise duties. Premium petrol will be 6.1 cents cheaper at EUR 1.328, and regular petrol will go down 7 cents to EUR 1.292. Diesel will also be 6.1 cents cheaper at EUR 1.225 a litre.
