The National Assembly appointed Positive Slovenia (PS) interim head Alenka Bratušek Slovenia's first female prime minister-designate as it simultaneously dismissed in a no confidence vote the government of Prime Minister Janez Janša whose term lasted just over a year.
18 killed in Egyptian hot air balloon crash

Egyptian authorities now say at least 18 tourists were killed when a hot air balloon crashed in Luxor on Tuesday morning. These are mobile phone images of the place the balloon came down.
Revoz Sales Down 19% in 2012

Revoz, the Slovenian subsidiary of French car maker Renault, reported on Tuesday a 19% drop in net sales revenues, which amounted to EUR 911m, for 2012 as a result of a drop in demand on the European market. Net profit stood at EUR 12.8m, down from almost EUR 14m in 2011.

The Supreme Court has rejected a request by Prime Minister Janez Janša to put a gag order on the report of the Corruption Prevention Commission that found Janša and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Janković in violation of anti-corruption law. It tasked the bank with calling a shareholders' meeting by the end of April and propose a capital increase in the amount of EUR 90m. The recapitalisation should be carried out by the end of July.
