Apartment Prices Continue to Fall

The decline in apartment prices shows no sign of letting up. Listing prices of apartments in Ljubljana averaged EUR 2,216 per square meter in the first quarter, down almost 5% year-on-year, show data released by the real estate portal slonep.net.

Compared to the previous quarter average prices declined by more than 1%, as the prices of all types of apartments bar studios dropped while prices of two-room apartments were flat.

Ljubljana is the most expensive location, followed by the coastal region, where prices dropped over 2% over the previous quarter to average EUR 2,213 per square meter.

Meanwhile, in Posavje and Zasavje in central Slovenia, and in the northern Koroško region, apartments average below EUR 1,000 per square meter, according to slonep.net, which operates the biggest classifieds site for real estate in the country.
