Adria Airways-Air India Code Share Deal Takes Effect on 15 January

Slovenian flag carrier Adria Airways and its Indian counterpart Air India will start operating the Ljubljana-Frankfurt-New Delhi route under the same code on 15 January in line with an agreement signed in November 2013.

Adria will put its code on the Delhi-Frankfurt service operated by Air India and Air India will place its code on Adria's Frankfurt-Ljubljana flights.

The agreement was signed in New Delhi lastyear by Adria CEO Mark Anžur and Air India boss Rohit Nandan as part of a visit by Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec to India.

According to a press release from Adria, Anžur is convinced that the code share agreement would help promote both flag carriers on their domestic markets and open the door to other cooperation opportunities, especially in tourism.
